Resurfacing (Chemical Peelings)
Yarraville
Many factors can take their toll on the skin, from sun exposure to the ageing process. Damage might appear in a variety of ways, including fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation irregularities and skin laxity. In some cases, the skin may merely lose its lustre and start to look rather lifeless. No matter what type of concerns you might have about your complexion, a medical-grade skin peel might be the right solution for minimising imperfections and restoring healthy radiance to the dermis.
HOW DO THEY WORK? Medical Grade Chemical Peels break down and remove the bonds holding the top layers of the skin together, eliminating dead, dry skin cells on the outer surface to reveal healthier skin cells underneath. Superficial imperfections like pigmentation marks may be removed at the time of the procedure for a clearer complexion. The exfoliation process offered by the peel treatment also stimulates a controlled amount of inflammation and induces collagen remodeling, resulting in thicker, healthier skin over time and an improvement in your appearance overall.
WHAT CONCERNS CAN WE TREAT? Medical-grade chemical peels are used to treat common skin concerns such as: ageing sun damage pigmentation melasma uneven skin tone and texture fine lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, redness and rosacea
CHOICES IN CHEMICAL PEELS There are different types of chemical peels available on the market, which vary in strength and are classified according to the depth of treatment: Extra-light, Superficial, Medium and Deep. Here at Hands-On Laser Cosmetic Clinic, we offer extra-light, superficial and medium chemical peels. A well-scheduled regimen of these peels can provide the same aesthetic outcomes as a deep peel, with little to no downtime, with far less risk.

Mandelic Peel 50%
In the ever-evolving world of skincare, few ingredients have managed to strike a balance between effectiveness and gentleness quite like mandelic acid. Derived from bitter almonds, mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that has quietly earned its place in the spotlight.
Whether you’re battling acne, uneven skin tone, or early signs of aging, mandelic acid offers a versatile solution that suits a wide range of skin types, including sensitive and darker skin tones. But like any active ingredient, it’s not a one-size-fits-all remedy.
Mandelic acid works primarily through chemical exfoliation. It dissolves the bonds (desmosomes) that hold dead skin cells together on the outer layer of the skin, known as the stratum corneum. Once these bonds are broken, the dead cells shed naturally, making way for newer, healthier cells to surface. This process not only improves texture but also allows for better penetration of other skincare products.
Due to its hydrophilic (water-attracting) and lipophilic (fat-attracting) nature, mandelic acid is effective at cleaning both oil and water-based debris from the pores. This makes it a powerful yet balanced option for treating acne and congestion. Additionally, mandelic acid helps to suppress melanin production by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase, reducing the appearance of dark spots, sun damage, and melasma over time.
When used consistently, mandelic acid can stimulate collagen synthesis, which helps in firming the skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also plays a role in maintaining skin hydration by removing dry, flaky buildup, thus improving the skin’s natural moisture retention abilities. $150
